Hello my dears,

How are you? How was your long weekend?
We came back yesterday after visiting our grandparents, and all kith and kin  biggrin.gif . Yesterday I had no strength to read your conversations and took only a short look  to learn how you were doing bigsmile.gif . But now I'm going to read everything and familiarise myself with all the news  tongue.gif

Good morning  4u.gif
And you can! There are so many TV programs in English. You can watch them smile.gif

Oh, I know. But you see, I have no problem with listening or reading. I understand almost everything perfectly. The problem is that I find it difficult to express myself. The words and all rules stuck in my head and I don't remember till someone else uses them. doh.gif But I have decided to open my grammar book and old dictionaries to remember words and to practise grammar smile.gif I hope I'll find time for that as I am up to ears in work... rolleyes.gif

Do you have a possibility to spend your summer vacation in UK or USA? It would be a really good practise 4u.gif
I was studying English at school and at the university for eight years but I never spoke so good as when I was working two summers in the United States and then in London.
But it was so long ago that I already forgot so much blush2.gif

FOR + a period of time:
e.g. I have been waiting for two hours.
SINCE + the start of a period:
e.g. I've been waiting since 3 o'clock.

Story:

A holiday where everything went wrong

I was in a wonderful garden with my friend Paulius. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. We were laying on the grass by an orange tree and having lots of fun.
I saw a beautiful horse. It had long black hair and jolly legs.
I kept it and rode on it. I was teaching my horse new tricks and feeding it every day. We lived together for a long time. One day we went for a trip.
We jumped into the water. As a result I broke my leg. I shook and cried. My horse ran far away. It was terrible. I had no mobile phone and couldn't ring anyone for help. I saw no people and screamed very loudly, because was very scared.
After hour my parents found me and took me to hospital. I met my horse. It was terrible... I will never forget this adventure.

(After "because was very scared." i want say in lithuania: Po valandos tėvai rado ir nuvežė į ligoninę, I think: After hour me found my parents and took to hospital.)

When I was in Sweden, the situation was better, as I had to talk in English everyday. I hope I can find a job in UK this summer, which is not to be in the cards due to the crisis. smile.gif But will see how it goes smile.gif

* Not to be in the cards - mazai tiketina (ar galiu siame sakinyje naudoti toki issireiskima?) g.gif

Life Game, what do you want us to do with your story? How can we help you?
