Jo nuomone, tas dokumentas tarnauja kaip "red flag" muitininkams ir prasideda knaisiojimaisi, reikalavimai irodymu, kad tu ne "abandoned the intent to remain permanently in the U.S.". Jei tokiu irodymu turi pilna krepsi - veliava tau i rankas. Maloni smulkmenele, jei taves neileidzia i US, paima ir green card...
The general purpose of a Reentry Permit is to allow permanent residents, who have left the U.S. for more than one year, but for less than two years, back into the United States. However,
permanent residents who remain outside the U.S. for more than one year CANNOT use their "greencard" for this purpose.
Na tam ir yra isduodami tie "Reentry Permit Doc.", kad galetum but uz JAV ribu ilgiau nei metai, bet tik iki 2 metu ilgiausiai.
Consequently, they must obtain a Reentry Permit IN ADVANCE, PRIOR TO LEAVING THE U.S. Note: that you can not obtain a Reentry Permit from outside the U.S.
Juodai ant balto parasyta, kad del sio dokumento turi kreiptis tik budamas JAV.
Those permanent residents who remain outside the U.S. for more than two years must obtain a "special immigrant" visa at a U.S. consulate abroad, in order to re-entry the U.S.
Del to minimas dokumentas ir yra isduodamas maximum 2-iems metams!!!
It is also important to note that neither the Reentry Permit, nor the greencard (for trips taking less than one year), nor the "special immigrant" visa, will guarantee that a permanent resident will be readmitted in the U.S. Remember:
the INS officer always has the right to refuse entry to any permanent resident if he or she deems that the individual has either abandoned the intent to remain permanently in the U.S., or has committed a crime, or falls within one of the grounds for exclusion under U.S. immigration law.

Taigi prasydamas tokio dokumento nurodai tikslia priezasti, kodel tiek ilgai tau reikia buti ne JAV valstybeje. O toliau: nei vienos valstybes istatymas negina istatymu pazeidejus ir kitokius nusikaltelius.

Puiki_mamyte,
Jeigu dar nesi igijusi JAV pilietybes iki 2006-11-13, tai tau tada ateityje pries igyjant JAV pilietybe reiktu rimtai apsispresti, nes tie LR pilieciai, kurie igijo ar igis kitos valstybes pilietybe, pagal paskutini LR Konstitucinio Teismo nutarima, netenka LR pilietybes ir neturi teises prasyti, kad ja grazintu kol neatsisakys igytos valstybes pilietybes.
