"Removing tacky surface after applying base coat
You are removing excess tackiness, using a dry clean gel brush. Do not use any Gel Cleanser at this stage. This is called a dry wipe technique. What this does is leave less of the inhibition layer on the cured surface of the Foundation gel so that the Gelish gel polish stays where you apply it. All gel products shrink as they cure, that is a property of gel products. If you leave all of the inhibition layer on the cured Foundation gel then the Gelish can pull away from the cuticle or free edge when it starts to cure. Dry wiping the Foundation gel after it is cured helps the Gelish go on smoothly and evenly"
