TRANSITION INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS PROCESS CHANGES EFFECTIVE APRIL 01, 2015
Starting on April 01, 2015, the US Embassy will be implementing new processes for all immigrant visa (IV) and K visa applicants. These changes will require K visa applicants to schedule their appointments and Immigrant visa applicants to register at usvisa-info.com. All applicants will also be required to schedule their follow up appointments. Please note that as of April 01 applicants without appointments registered at usvisa-info.com will NOT be granted access into the embassy.
Applicants who have already attended their initial interviews and have been provided with follow up instruction letters (221G letters) are strongly advised to complete their registration at usvisa-info.com prior to April 01. Please read the instructions below. You may also dial +251 115 582424 for assistance provided by the Call Center.
I. YOUR INITIAL APPOINTMENT DATE IS PRIOR TO APRIL 01
A. Registering Appointments - Immigrant Visa (IV) Applicants
In order to register for this service, you must already have received an appointment letter from NVC, KCC or the US Embassy. Please go to usvisa-info.com and follow the required steps to register the EXACT date and time of your FIRST appointment as specified in your appointment letter. WARNING: If you register an appointment date and time other than the date/time on the letter, you will NOT be allowed to enter the Consular Section.
Once you have completed your registration, go back to the home page Applicant Summary Page. Click on the link Missed My Appointment to send a request explaining that you have registered for the first time and now wish to schedule a follow up appointment. Once you receive confirmation email from the Consular Section, continue with the process by following the steps below.
1. Log in to your account created at usvisa-info.com
2. If the Consular Section requires you to make an appointment you will see the option Schedule Appointment. Click Continue and select the date and time of your choice. Print the Instructions page; attend your scheduled appointment.
3. If the Consular Section requires you to send documents through the courier service, DHL, you will see the option Send documents. Click Continue and complete your registration. From the same Instructions page download the Courier authorization certificate by clicking on the green View Courier-in Receipt box at the bottom of the page. Attach this printed document with the documents you have been asked to send and submit to the DHL location of your choice.
B. Registering Appointments K Visa Applicants
In order to register for this service, you must already have received an instructions letter from NVC, KCC or the US Embassy. Please go to usvisa-info.com and follow the required steps to schedule your Consular Section appointment. WARNING: If you register an appointment date and time other than the date/time on the letter, you will NOT be allowed to enter the Consular Section.
Once you have completed your registration, go back to the home page Applicant Summary Page. Click on the link Missed My Appointment to send a request explaining that you have registered for the first time and now wish to schedule a follow up appointment. If you are required to schedule a follow up appointment, or send documents, follow steps below:
1. Log in to your account created at usvisa-info.com
2. If the Consular Section requires you to make an appointment you will see the option Schedule Appointment. Click Continue and select the date and time of your choice. Print the Instructions page; attend your scheduled appointment.
3. If the Consular Section requires you to send documents through the courier service, DHL, you will see the option Send documents. Click Continue and complete your registration. From the same Instructions page download the Courier authorization certificate by clicking on the green View Courier-in Receipt box at the bottom of the page. Attach this printed document with the documents you have been asked to send and submit to the DHL location of your choice.
II. IF YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE IS AFTER APRIL 01
A. Registering Appointments Immigrant Visa (IV) Applicants: If your appointment date provided in the letter from NVC, KCC or the US Embassy is after April 01, go to usvisa-info.com to register the EXACT appointment date/ time, as provided in the letter. WARNING: If you register an appointment date and time other than the date/time on the letter, you will NOT be allowed to enter the Consular Section.
B. Registering Appointments K Visa Applicants: Please go to usvisa-info.com and follow the required steps to schedule your Consular Section appointment by selecting a date and time of your choice.
